Born and raised in Mammoth, Michele’s family first came to this area in 1955. Michele learned to ski at about the same time she learned to walk. Learning to ski at an early age naturally inspired her to start ski racing on the Mammoth Mountain Race Team. This experience has given her the aggressive, competitive edge needed to be the successful real estate professional she is now.
What motivated Michele to seek a career in real estate was the fact that the business provides an avenue to constantly improve knowledge and learn. Whether it is keeping abreast of the ever changing real estate laws, rules and regulations to the marketing aspects of the business. Her mother was also a very successful Broker and mentor. Michele has found joy in helping people and knowing that, at the end of the day, you have done your best.
That’s motivation.
Michele began her real estate career in 1991. In 1991 real estate was not exactly booming but it afforded a lot of time networking and learning excellent marketing techniques. While beginning a new career in real estate, Michele also donated her time coaching skiing to local kids in various programs at Mammoth Mountain.
In the beginning of Michele’s real estate career, she worked with a large Mammoth Real Estate company. She became “Top Producer”, Top 5 in the Mammoth Lakes Board of REALTOR® and the exclusive “Hall of Fame” ranking in the top 250 Nationally and Internationally for many years.
She brings to Mammoth Village Properties a large clientele base, 95% of her business being referrals because of her extensive experience and unsurpassed local knowledge of the Mammoth Lakes area and the whole Eastern Sierra, including Bishop, June Lake and beyond.
Michele has helped locals and second homeowners find their dream home. Walking people through the process of buying their first home, to locating and procuring investment properties. Finding the perfect second home to helping people pick the perfect lot and helping them build their home. Personal experience offers expertise in the buying and selling of resort properties to doing 1031 Tax Deferred Exchanges. She is also very experienced in short sales and foreclosures.
Michele has teamed up with her husband, Cary Hansen to provide expert knowledge in the real estate market. Michele and Cary enjoy all the activities Mammoth has to offer including skiing, snowboarding, climbing, hiking, running, bicycling(mountain and road), camping, fishing, sailing and yes even learning to golf. What a fabulous place!
They have built their own homes in Mammoth and have a life-long vested interest in the community.
